Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Insurance Compliance Reporting

Location: NJ/PA/DE (Whitehouse Station/Jersey City/Philadelphia/Wilmington)

Role Overview: Chubb is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of insurance compliance reporting tools. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance compliance requirements and effective leadership of both onshore and offshore development teams. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy reporting tools that ensure Chubb's compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of onshore and offshore developers, providing technical guidance and ensuring timely delivery of software solutions.
  • Design and develop web-based compliance reporting tools using Microsoft .NET components, including SQL Server, SSIS, and C#.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between compliance reporting tools and other systems using APIs and Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand compliance requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Conduct code reviews, perform unit testing, and ensure adherence to development best practices and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the compliance reporting tools.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to insurance compliance reporting and propose improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on software development experience, focusing on Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Extensive experience leading onshore and offshore development teams, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft .NET components, including SQL Server, SSIS, and C#. Knowledge of JavaScript, Angular, or other web development frameworks is a plus.
  • Proven experience working with APIs and developing integrations using Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Knowledge of insurance compliance regulations and reporting requirements is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.

Compensation:

  • In Jersey City, NJ, the pay range for this role is $101,000 to $172,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program.
