Meriwether Godsey is looking for Cafe Servers; individuals who enjoy providing our guests with the finest food and drink, accompanied by an attentive and positive attitude for a flagship seminary school in the heart of Alexandria, VA. 

• Must be available to work as follows: Tuesday-Friday, 3p-10:30p
• $17.00 Per Hour
• Free Meals

What the Server will do:

• WOW guests and provide an exceptional dining experience
• Courteously greet guests, answer questions, make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service
• Relays orders to service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system
• Bus tables, remove dishes and utensils at the end of service
• Handle cash and credit card transactions
• Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service; maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
• Reset dining areas to ensure readiness for incoming guest
• Comply with responsible alcohol service guidelines, including serving guests responsibly

What the Sever will need:

• Must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination. Exemptions available upon request
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years of related work experience preferred  
• Familiarity with state and local laws regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
• ServSafe® and/or RSVP Certification; ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
• Prior experience busing tables, catering or bartending experience within a restaurant, hotel or conference center operation
• Exceptional customer service skills; strong team player
• Excellent communication and good organizational skills
• Ability to stand/move about for long periods of time and lift 30 lbs
• Ability to handle high volume customers
• Reliable Transportation
• Ability to work nights and weekends on an on-call as needed basis
