Job Description

As dentsu builds out products to support Addressable Media, there is a need to work with the ad-tech/mar-tech ecosystem to build proprietary solutions applying the Merkury identity to enhance the end-to-end media workflow. From audience definition and insights to media planning and buying, and reporting and measurement, products will identify, scope and craft market leading capabilities.

As the VP, Product - Planner, you will help create an overall strategic roadmap. You will ensure that product management that is in place fosters activities that result in compelling products being produced. You will also lay out priorities for the technology team, with collaboration, to guide the most efficient use of those resources based on the need from the business. Working with partners to improve adoption and scale across the dentsu Media client base.

Specifically, you will focus on Media Planning tools, but will engage with and collaborate across the product efforts. This is a remote position, reporting to Head of Media Products. You will not have managerial responsibilities.

  • You will define and roll out best practices around product management and team building

Product Management

  • You will lead Product Roadmap development for multiple product sets/solutions
  • You will be responsible for generation, advocacy, and turning ideas into relevant programs
  • You will provide context to turn Roadmap Ideas into action; ensure plans are well understood, promote value for our organization, and are activated within client teams
  • You will support the Technology Portfolio Planning process by gathering and prioritizing projects across the organization for inclusion on the Roadmap
  • You will manage flow of new projects across sprint teams
  • You will create partnerships across a broad user base to support the Dentsu Product suite of tools
  • You will understand of all of the platforms supported by Dentsu Product - provides constant positioning of the value we/it is driving; drive correlations/comparisons between the Platform and competitors

Collaboration

  • You will participate in and representing Dentsu Product at industry events
  • You may participate in new business development
  • You will foster and lead collaboration
  • You will identify resources, events and conferences for learning opportunities for the team

Innovation

  • You will look for industry and technology change and translate those shifts into strategic application across our products where applicable
  • You will facilitate a culture of risk-taking and experimentation throughout the organization.
  • You will Encourage and facilitate experimentation as a tool for continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • 10 years of hands-on working experience in media planning with an understanding of the partner landscape, linear and digital planning, and audience led planning and buying of media
  • Experience with Media Planning software
  • Familiarity with defining solutions based on client requirements and evaluation levels of effort, roadmapping, budget management, etc.
  • Experience working with engineering teams to lead technical solutions and be the translation layer between partners and technical teams
  • Experience working with Agile framework for product development lifecycle
Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $163,000 - $263,350. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
