Position Overview
The Creel Operator position is a non-exempt, hourly position responsible for starting, stopping, cleaning and maintaining a Coating Machine while ensuring that good quality coated yarn is made.
What you'll do
- Clean the Coating Machine in a timely manner
- Clean coating dies
- Start-up/circulate plastisol in the Coating Machine
- Thread up lines on the Coating Machine
- Package empty/reject fiber glass bobbins for return to Supplier
- Bring fiber glass pallets into the Creel Room and unpack them
- Help Coating Inspector doff the bobbins throughout the shift
- The frequent removal of waste from Coating Machine
- All other duties as assigned
Who you are
- Ability to lift, carry and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to push/pull up to 1,000 lbs. on pallet jack.
- Ability to work with minimal supervisory direction.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
- Ability to work in an environment where temperature varies in range.
- Ability to tolerate moderate to loud plant noise levels.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships.
- Ability to work in a team environment and solicit the assistance of co-workers.
- Ability to work and keep pace in fast paced environment.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
