Oversee hospital staff to ensure quality care and compliance with policies and mandated regulations.
Provide professional guidance for nursing personnel, manage disciplinary issues, and prepare administrative reports.
Review staffing and budgetary needs, integrating Nursing Services functions with other hospital departments.
Participate in program development and training for nurse recruitment activities and assist with continuing education programs.
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate designated nursing staff; assign duties and coordinate nursing services.
Develop nursing protocols and procedures.
Provide continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
Assess patient needs and participate in providing nursing care; ensure services are carried out and documented appropriately.
Maintain patient health care records and supply inventory records; order supplies and equipment as necessary.
Promote adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and the Corporate Compliance Agreement by monitoring employee performance and identifying and responding to compliance issues.
BLS/CPR, PALS, and ACLS certification required. BLS/CPR is required within 30 days of hire date. ACLS and PALS must be obtained within ninety (90) days of employment if not currently certified.
Experience:
Two years of nursing experience in a hospital setting highly preferred.
1 to 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience highly preferred.
