The candidate is expected to use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance inventory management and supply chain processes. Position is central to MES’s most important metrics. A high visibility position with exposure to suppliers, customers, and senior management requires high autonomy and strong communication skills.

Key Duties

• Track Weekly ODSI using forecasting software and other tools and adjust ordering.
• Drive Cost, Delivery, and Cash proficiency
• Manage Excess & Obsolete Inventory and initiative improvements to right-size inventory
• Partner with Supply Chain Coordinators, Sales and Finance teams to keep optimal inventory levels, On-Time Delivery, and Customer Ratings
• Attend customer calls relevant to inventory levels, demand spikes, and delays
• Analyze inventory types part rankings and help institute planning rules for a variety of part and demand types
• Coordinate warehouse quantities for New program launches and Obsolescence
• Gathers and interprets relevant data (costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)
• Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions
• Develops periodic performance reports and distributes them to stakeholders
• Coordinates delivery schedules and other supply chain activities
• Help Supply Chain Managers with their customer demand forecast mapping
• Update Forecasting systems and ERP systems with the latest information on packaging, shipping, lot quantities, etc.
• Track individual and team monthly ODSI report and engage with the team for overall reductions

Requirements and Skills

• 5 years Minimum Experience with logistics, manufacturing, or inventory experience, preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business related
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Ability to present analytical results in verbal and written communications and facilitate changes based on observations
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
• Advanced Excel skills, a must
• Broad range of computer skills—database, spreadsheet, statistics applications, and logistics software packages
• Understand contracts, shipping costs, tariffs, and other cost inventory related cost drivers
• Self-motivated with a high bias for action
