Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old) JOB SUMMARY: It is the responsibility of the Laundry supervisor to assist the Operations Manager in overseeing and ensuring the smooth operation of the production washroom within the Laundry Department. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Mesquite Gaming policies, practices and procedures. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must have excellent organizational skills and effective listening abilities and good judgement. Must possess the ability to have good public relations skills, Must possess the ability to deal and interact with management, employees and guests in an effective and diplomatic manner. Must possess knowledge of laundry procedures, equipment and supplies. Must possess knowledge in the implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures set forth by Mesquite Gaming. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively read, write and speak in English. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience required, preferably in the laundry field. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Coordinates linen production flow to fulfill daily linen requirements and to maximize efficiency of the Laundry operation. 2. Accountable for monitoring, measuring, and following up on all work productivity reports for the team players. 3. Ensures that all minimum production standards are being met on a daily basis. 4. Conducts daily pre-shift meetings. 5. Responsible for maintaining an adequate amount of operating supply to prevent any delays in laundry operations. 6. Provides training to and support of new employees, as required. 7. Counsel and discipline employees that violate Company or departmental policies, practices, or procedures through progressive counseling guidelines. 8. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management. Must posses the ability to push and maneuver a loaded laundry hamper weighing in excess of (300) pounds at a time. Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to Company appearance standards. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of an Industrial Laundry setting. Work in a fast-paced, busy and occasional noisy environment with frequent dirt, dust, and fumes. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated but temperatures can elevate during summer months.
