Mesquite Independent School District is Hiring a Coordinator - Instructional Content Near Mesquite, TX
Primary Purpose
To work closely with the curriculum coordinators, campuses, and other district staff to determine appropriate digital content access for all personnel, as well as ensure students have access to both digital and print instructional resources in MISD.
Education/CertificationQUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
Master’s degree (Preferred)
Texas Teaching Certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills
Understanding of technology and its importance in enhancing digital curriculum and data management programs
Knowledge of the ftp process, SSO, and data files
Knowledge of data files, creation, and maintenance
Experience creating, maintaining, and trouble-shooting data files
Knowledge of software applications across platforms
Knowledge and understanding of public-school curriculum and assessment
Experience communicating with 3rd party vendors regarding content access
Experience creating, implementing, and maintaining digital curriculum
Experience troubleshooting both hardware and software computer problems
Experience with SSO options and conflicts
Knowledge and understanding of the textbook adoption process
Experience with organization of materials and process management
Experience
Successful experience (three or more years) as a teacher in assigned curricular area
Successful experience in a campus or district leadership role (preferred)
Major Responsibilities And Duties
Utilize the coaching model to grow and support teachers
Troubleshoot problems with both Mac and PCs to support teachers through issues
Manage all PEIMS submissions for Teaching and Learning
Work with vendors to ensure highest level of support and greatest level of impact from product
Understand how all programs are rostered and support campuses in accessing resources
Support department content coordinators with DCP creation, formatting, and data disaggregation
Manage district Instructional Materials purchases including EMAT disbursements/requisitions
Oversee Instructional Materials inventory including intake, distribution, and district processes
Audit district and campus Instructional Materials inventory yearly
Provide professional learning and support to campus administrators, teachers, and other support staff
Troubleshoot technical issues through verbal and written communication
Serve as system admin for certain 3rd party vendors regarding Digital Content Access
Support department with detailed data files
Coordinate specific username and password configurations
Coordinate with various departments to successfully implement accessible digital curriculum to various user groups within MISD
Network with other districts to ensure we are delivering the best in terms of digital content for our students and teachers
Support campuses and teachers through professional learning on digital platforms
Create clear digital instructions to support district needs
Use of different technology to enhance student data management programs
Format detailed Microsoft Word and Excel documents
Assist with special projects as assigned by the Directors and Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning
Perform other duties as assigned
