Mesquite Independent School District is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Mesquite, TX
Qualifications: The Payroll Specialist will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent/Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
Preference Will Be Given To Applicants Who
- demonstrate a working knowledge of public school accounting
- have prior experience in accounting/payroll or a related field
- understand accounting procedures and the budgetary process
- have an understanding of IRS statutes, TRS statues and State statutes
- have a knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and other computer functions
- demonstrate effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills
- possess strong analytical and organizational skills
- have a service oriented personality
Employment begins: July 1, 2024
