Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Family and Community Engagement Assistant.

The appointee will report directly to the Family and Community Engagement Coordinator and will aid the FACE Coordinator in marketing and maintaining various FACE programs, including but not limited to Read Play Talk, LENA Start, and Camp Excel.

This individual would join other members of the FACE department in completing all administrative duties on a daily basis.

Qualifications : The candidate will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual preferred.

Preference will be give to applicants who :

• possess general knowledge of ReadPlayTalk, LENA start and other MISD Programs
• ability to design and digitally distribute flyers, social media posts, and marketing materials for FACE programs
• possess general knowledge of Mesquite and surrounding communities
• translate FACE materials
• aid in the planning process and implementation of Camp Excel
• possess strong analytical and organizational skills
• have a thorough knowledge of the use of today’s popular social media and district communication platforms
• possess excellent communication skills, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
• have knowledge of computer functions and programs, including word processing, google drive, spreadsheets, and other databases
• provide assistance in planning and implementing community events
• assist in parent education programs
• traveling required to campuses for ReadPlayTalk efforts on elementary campuses

Salary : Pay Range : Administrative / Technical Support (4), $19.47 to $28.01 (hourly); 226 day position

Employment begins : August 1, 2024, or as soon as possible
