The Saw and Material Coordinator is responsible for the receipt of tube and bar stock materials, setup, and operation of B&O and Tsune saws. Operates an overhead crane, side loader, and forklift to safely transport materials, effectively manages time, and follows production schedule and work instructions to support production.
The position is on the Afternoon (2nd) shift, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.Benefits Include But Are Not Limited To The Following

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the receipt and storage of tube and bar stock utilizing an overhead crane.
• Support material handling position with forklift and side loader handling when required.
• Set up and operate B&O and Tsune saws in accordance with work instructions and all other standard work documentation. Uses a computer and a scan gun to log daily production.
• Ensures saws are loaded with correct tube and bar stock for production. Utilizing a forklift, transports the finished product to the designated storage area.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance, minor repairs of problems or breakdowns, and housekeeping activities with B&O and Tsune saws.
• Performs efficient changeover setups on B&O and Tsune saws according to production schedules.
• Performs routine quality inspection on finished products using bench gauges. Records measurements. Escalates quality issues to Management.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Technical/Functional Skills

Minimum RequirementsOne year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED with two years of experience in a manufacturing environment. One year of experience operating a saw and an overhead crane. One year of forklift experience. One year of side loader operation experience.
Physical Demands & Frequency Requirements

• Continuous standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and manual manipulation of parts.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
• Hearing at a conversational level.
• Operates forklift and similar machinery and equipment.
• Required to wear protective safety glasses, hearing protection where required, and safety shoes where required.
