Hello All
We have a fantastic opportunity to be employed by a cutting-edge startup as they venture into an exciting phase of industry transformation. Supported by the resources of a well-established corporation, they blend the nimbleness and innovation of a startup with the stability of a larger entity. They are on the lookout for a Human Resources Manager to establish and lead our Human Resources operations from the ground up.
In this crucial role, you will set up the HR department, establish all operations, and manage day-to-day activities. This position provides a unique opportunity to shape the HR landscape, including payroll, benefits, and recruiting, among other responsibilities. Additionally, you will drive company culture by planning events and coordinating activities that bring our team together.
Role: Human Resources ManagerSalary: 85k – 115k yr.Key Responsibilities
  • Build HR operations from the ground up, developing a robust department that supports our growth.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive recruiting process, collaborating with internal talent acquisition teams and external partners to attract top talent.
  • Organize and execute company events and employment activities to create a positive and engaging work environment.
  • Develop and introduce HR policies and procedures, ensuring they comply with legal standards and support our organizational goals.
  • Manage the administration of benefits, leave policies, and compliance training, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to regulations.
  • Provide crucial support and guidance to management and team leaders on organizational design, performance management, disciplinary actions, and talent development strategies.
  • Work closely with the finance team to budget and manage labor costs effectively, contributing to the overall financial health of the venture.
  • Collaborate with the Quality department to develop employee training programs, documentation, and execution.
Ideal Qualifications
  • Fluency in Korean is essential to effectively communicate with HQ and key stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years in General Office Administration and/or Human Resources, with experience in a startup or similar environment (less than 50 employees).
  • Thorough knowledge of the USA and Texas employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or similar environment (engineers, technicians, hourly employees).
  • Expertise in processing payroll, administering benefits, and compliance training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and advise management on HR-related matters.
Even Better if You Have…
  • Experience in developing HR policies and procedures, implementing payroll/HRIS, ATS, and 401k plans.
  • Experience with Payroll & Benefits Administration using Paychex.
  • HR Certifications such as PHR/SHRM or related coursework.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, charts/graphs).
