Job Title: Skilled trade Technician
The skilled trade technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
What would your typical day look like?
1. Install, program, and maintain all electrical/mechanical equipment in a safe and operable condition.
2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
3. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
4. Implement preventative and predictive maintenance procedures utilizing computerized maintenance management system.
5. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
6. Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
7. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
8. Tracking and controlling Maintenance Inventory
9. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
10. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
11. Operate powered industrial forklifts and man lifts.
Education and Experience
· Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance (preferred) (willing to train without experience)
· Must have an understanding of AC/DC control circuits, ladder logic, schematic diagrams, software, programmable controllers, programming, and robotics.
· High school diploma/GED and completion or a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
· 2 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience (preferred)
· Lockout/Tagout Training
· Understanding of Electrical Technology
· Core manufacturing processes (Stamping, Assembly, Welding, hydroforming)
Required
· Must pass Maintenance E.T. test - 75% score.
