Position Summary

A Sales Associate at Method is responsible for selling cannabis wholesale, and meeting sales targets while maintaining compliance with state and local regulations. This role involves engaging with cannabis industry professionals and understanding their product needs while also ensuring proper representation of the companies goals, methods, and values. A Sales Associate will handle negotiations with customers, product concerns, while maintaining an expert level of knowledge about Methods product and processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Use various software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate, and/or format data and/or reports
• Effectively communicate customers product needs and wants.
• Maintain and grow an active customer base
• Meet or exceed quarterly sales goals
• Maintain good working relationships with all internal Method departments
• Coordinate with transport and fulfillment team members to efficiently meet customers needs
• Forecast customer product needs and preferences for product and strain varieties.
• Maintain positive business relationships with partners, customers, and marketing agencies
• Must occasionally deliver product to customers.
• Maintains expert knowledge on emerging products and services.
• Coordinate strategic marketing events, and maintain profitable sales
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
• Make and receive company calls
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Must have at least 2 years experience in a sales environment in the cannabis industry
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills and proficiency in business vocabularies
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Must work effectively with senior-level executives and staff; must also be able to work independently
• Must be able to achieve deliverables in a timely manner and maintain a transparent schedule
• Thorough understanding of Method products
• Thorough understanding of sales strategies and practices.
• Must have strong customer support orientation (for internal/external customers), demonstrated professional demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidential information
• Must be able to commute to onsite and offsite locations
• Must be licensed by the state of Oklahoma to work with cannabis
• Must be licensed to drive in the state of Oklahoma
