The Division of Fine and Performing Arts at Methodist University seeks Adjunct Instructors in Art and Graphic Design for the 2024-2025 academic year. Courses may include:

Fall, 2024

* Language of Art

* Renaissance and Baroque: Art History and Theory

* Foundations Drawing I

* Foundations Painting I

Spring, 2025

* Intermediate Drawing II

* ARH 3540 19th & 20th Century: Art History and Theory

* Language of Art

Qualifications

All successful candidates will have a Master's Degree in Art or Graphic Design and experience teaching in any of the above areas. Adjunct instructors may teach between one and three courses per semester; each course is three credit hours, although some may require more contact time.

For those interested in teaching in the Graphic Design program, preference will be given to those with Adobe Creative Cloud experience - specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Industry experience will also be considered. Photography experience is a plus!

For those interested in teaching in the Art program, preference will be given to those with experience in Drawing, Painting and Printmaking. Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus!
