Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

Job Summary

The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor will increase operational efficiency, company profitability and customer satisfaction by overseeing safe, accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments and inventory management.

Job Description

Typical Duties:

• Manage all receiving/shipping operations, including loading/unloading and sorting of shipments/deliveries
• Ensure that all incoming/outgoing shipments are accurately and promptly processed
• Supervise and train staff
• Monitor the accuracy of all receiving/shipping records, including inventory and stock levels
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment
• Identify and resolve receiving and inventory discrepancies
• Monitor and control operational costs
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate operations
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes

· Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule delivery/pick-up of goods

· Identify errors on packing lists and correct them

· Monitor shipping orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of said documents

· Monitor and manage costs and availability of shipping supplies.

· Coordinate with Manufacturing operations and Purchasing to maximize on-time shipment to customers

· Ensure compliance with government shipping regulations (ex: ISPM-15,ITAR)

Qualifications:

· 3-5 years of experience in shipping/receiving/inventory management and supervision

· Achieve positive results, balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale

· Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

· Forklift License

· Computer skills

· ERP- Shipping/ Receiving experience

• Experience in a Manufacturing environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 5 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
