Position: Registered Nurse (Hospice)

About the Role

Our Award Winning Client is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their hospice team. This role involves providing compassionate hospice care to patients in their homes within the local area. The position requires travel within a 45-minute to 1-hour radius of Northbrook, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hospice care to patients in their homes, focusing on comfort and quality of life.
  • Coordinate and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on hospice care and provide emotional support.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or higher in Nursing.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois (IL).
  • At least 1 year of professional RN experience (Hospice experience preferred).
  • Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) and American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS).
  • Valid Driver's License, Reliable Mode of Transportation, and Auto Insurance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Candidate Details: Applicants should possess an active RN license in the state of Illinois and have at least one year of professional experience in an RN role, preferably in hospice care. An associate degree or higher in nursing is required. Additionally, candidates should have BLS and ACLS certifications or be willing to obtain them. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance are essential due to the travel requirements of the position.
