Key Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Provide advanced nursing care in a Surgical Neuro Intensive Care Unit.
  • Deliver patient-focused care with empathy and attention to detail.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of neurosurgical procedures and intensive care protocols.
  • Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-pressure situations.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in neuro monitoring and critical care equipment.
  • Strong understanding of advanced life support techniques (BLS and ACLS certifications required).
  • Expertise in patient assessment, care planning, and implementation.
  • Competence in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to manage complex cases with multiple comorbidities.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an ICU setting.

Candidate Details

This role is suitable for candidates with 1 to 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in an ICU environment. The ideal candidate will hold an Associate's Degree at minimum and possess no management experience. Candidates should be open to working a 12-hour night shift, full-time, and be available for weekend and holiday shifts. Travel is not required for this position.
