Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to program colleagues and providers
- Develop and maintain medical policies and standards
- Conduct participant history and physical examinations
- Supervise healthcare and treatment programs
- Educate participants and families on health maintenance
- Participate in provider on-call rotation
- Oversee clinical outcomes and Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program
- Doctorate degree in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Minimum 1 year experience with the elderly population
- Current licenses/certifications:
- Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certification (by time of start)
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification (by time of start)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) (by time of start)
- Medical Doctor (MD) licensed in Alabama (AL) (or willing to obtain)
- Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Previous supervisory experience
- Board Certification in Geriatrics (Fellowship-trained) or Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine (to be completed prior to start)
- Clean Malpractice history
- Geriatric Care
- Senior Care
- Geriatric/LTC
