Job DescriptionAs part of our dynamic STERILIZATION engineering team, the successful candidate will assume responsibilities for managing and enhancing the operational systems of sterilization equipment and facilities. This pivotal role supports the infrastructure critical to our client's mission of advancing health technology. Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage bi-annual plant shutdowns in July and December.
Perform and document validation of new equipment and processes including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Process Qualification (PQ), and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
Oversee and coordinate preventative maintenance on sterilization equipment and facility support systems, such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
STERILIZATION Troubleshoot and maintain essential utilities and systems, including steam boilers, hot water systems, chilled water systems, vacuum, and nitrogen systems.
Lead project management for the installation and upgrading of new equipment and building improvements.
Ensure adequate inventory levels of spare parts.
Supervise and manage external contractors for specialized projects and routine services.
Drive continuous improvement, quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
Conduct calibration duties and participate as a lead in the sterilization Emergency Response Team.
Work overtime and flexible hours as required, including on-call responsibilities for after-hours and weekend support.
RequirementsEducation:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with five years of experience, or
Associate’s Degree with ten years of experience, or
Journeyman in a skilled trade with ten years of experience.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&ID, plans, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
In-depth knowledge of Fire alarm systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and control/instrumentation systems such as PPM, LEL alarm systems, Lesni/chamber controls, SCADA.
Familiarity with electrical classifications, hazardous areas, and associated requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience in Risk Management or Process Safety Management.
An advanced degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
