Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and Educate Patients: Verify patient identities, explain procedures to patients and their families, and prepare patients for ultrasound exams.
- Perform Ultrasound Exams: Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations efficiently, adhering to established protocols and ensuring high-quality imaging results.
- Data Management: Compile and organize data for radiologist review, maintain detailed patient records, and ensure accurate reporting of findings to physicians.
- Room and Equipment Maintenance: Clean and stock examination rooms, ensure the operational integrity of equipment, and manage film processing.
- Assist with Administrative Duties: Aid in scheduling procedures, transport patients as needed, and support other administrative tasks as required by the department.
- Maintain Clinical Competency: Participate in ongoing educational programs and training to stay current with the latest techniques and best practices in ultrasound technology.
- Certification Requirements:
- Must hold a certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in advanced certifications.
- Dual certifications in advanced specialties are highly preferred.
- Obtain Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 7 days of employment.
- Experience Level: Mid-level expertise in ultrasound imaging or a related healthcare field.
- Location Requirement: Candidates should reside in the Lawton area or be willing to relocate.
- Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.
- Visa Support: This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
