Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized dental treatment coordinator.
Duties
- Patient Consultations and Education: Explain treatment plans to patients, including procedure details, benefits, and any risks involved, ensuring they feel informed and comfortable with their options.
- Financial Coordination: Discuss treatment costs and payment options with patients, assist with financing or payment plans, and address questions about insurance coverage, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs.
- Scheduling Treatment: Help patients schedule appointments for treatments, coordinating with the clinical team to ensure availability and timely service delivery.
- Follow-up and Case Management: Monitor pending treatments and follow up with patients who have unscheduled treatment. This could involve regular calls or emails to encourage them to proceed with their treatment plans.
- Insurance and Billing Coordination: Verify insurance benefits and eligibility for patients, ensuring that the treatment aligns with their coverage. This may also include pre-authorizations for certain procedures.
- Building Patient Relationships: Serve as a primary contact for patients, fostering a positive relationship to enhance trust and satisfaction, which can improve retention and word-of-mouth referrals.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of patient consultations, treatment discussions, and follow-up communications in the dental practice software.
- Collaboration with Clinical and Administrative Staff: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other team members to stay updated on patient cases and treatment options, ensuring everyone is aligned on patient care goals.
Experience
- Any sales experience is a plus
- An understanding of dental terminology and procedures is essential
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients, staff, and visitors.
