Metro is looking for an Occupational Therapist to treat out of our outpatient clinic in Patchogue on a part time basis. Must be able to commit to 20 hours/week (Tues 1-8pm, Thurs 1-8pm, Sat 8-2pm). Come be a part of a growing organization in a progressive, supportive, and innovative team!
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one treatment
- Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of occupational treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent occupational dysfunction in patients.
- Custom Splint Fabrication for Patients
- Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
- Develop and guide plans of care which encourage compliance and produce the best results for your patients.
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Must be willing to treat all ages and have sensory integration experience.
- Occupational Therapist Program Graduate.
- NY Occupational Therapy License or eligible.
- Min. 1-2 years of practicing OT experience.
- Certifications Required: CPR/First Aid
