Metro Sales is seeking an IT Sales Consultant to work out of our Burnsville headquarters to generate new opportunities who is not just motivated by an unlimited earning potential, but also a passion to help improve our clients businesses through technology.

The IT Sales Consultant will be responsible for lead generation, utilizing various channels including cold-calling and email campaigns to generate, qualify, and track leads. The primary focus will be to secure appointments with prospects, clearing articulating the value proposition of our Managed IT Services, and generating new business and expanding existing business for MSI.

What you will do:

  • Identify, target, and qualify potential Managed IT Services customers through research, cold-calling, networking events, referrals, targeted email campaigns, and social media to build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business leads and opportunities.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to engage and qualify leads and secure first-time appointments.
  • Track and manage the sales pipeline, including lead generation and qualification, prospecting activities, and opportunity qualification. Utilize CRM tools and sales methodologies to effectively manage sales cycles and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and Managed IT Services teams to develop strategies and generate demand for Managed IT Services.
  • Stay abreast on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the Managed IT Services space.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 1 year of recent outbound business to business (B2B) sales experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and mindset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proven success in a competitive environment.
  • Reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree
  • Previous B2B sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to establish rapport & develop long-lasting business relationships.
  • Cold calling and appointment setting experience preferred.
