Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent in science or related field and two years’ experience with pretreatment/industrial waste programs, wastewater experience, or other environmental compliance programs (such as stormwater permitting, NPDES permitting, air permitting, hazardous waste program management) including, inspections, and enforcement. Experience with identifying, evaluating, interpreting, and explaining environmental laws, rules, and regulations applicable to implementation of pretreatment/industrial waste programs or other regulatory compliance programs. Experience meeting deadlines, planning, and coordinating work, and writing accurate reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and experience working in databases. Good mathematical and data analysis skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with people of varying backgrounds, knowledge, and experience.
Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of industrial manufacturing practices, wastewater treatment, and regulatory control. Familiarity with hazardous waste identification, storage, labeling, and disposal. Industrial Pretreatment Program Specialist IIMinimum Qualifications

Work Environment
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; and risk of radiation less than 1/3 of the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feet; and talk or hear more than 2/3 of the time. The employee is required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms less than 1/3 of the time. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds less than 1/3 of the time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
