Job DescriptionMACHINE REPAIR –MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANMetropolitan Baking Company is hiring immediately for a Maintenance Technician at our facility in Hamtramck, Michigan.
This position requires the technical skills to:
In addition, the Maintenance Technician must possess an awareness and understanding of how to work safely on Mechanical and Electrical equipment in a high speed production environment.
Qualifications:
We are one of the largest wholesale baking companies in the region and have been in business for over 70 years.
This position requires the technical skills to:
- Evaluate
- Troubleshoot
- Repair and install bakery and food processing equipment.
- Mechanical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, basic electrical and refrigeration knowledge
- Maintain conveyors and physical structures.
- Preventative Maintenance
In addition, the Maintenance Technician must possess an awareness and understanding of how to work safely on Mechanical and Electrical equipment in a high speed production environment.
Qualifications:
- 1 year related experience, and/or licensed journeyman of a skilled trade.
- After 90 days Full Time Employee (Probation period)
- Retro Holiday pay from start date
- Holiday Pay (6 holidays)

- Vacations after 1 year of service (up to 50 hours of weekly vacation pay)
- Overtime after 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week
