Metropolitan Methodist Hospital is Hiring a Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Near San Antonio, TX

Position Title: Contract-Labor and Delivery RN (708)/7A-7P/13 Weeks
Location: 1310 Mccullough Ave, San Antonio, TX 78212
Unit: Labor and Delivery
Shift: 7P-7:30A

Unit Highlights:

  • Unit Name: Women’s Pavilion
  • Number of Beds: 16 LDRs, 5 Triage (OBED), 7 Ante
  • Patient Ratios: 1:2
  • Special Skills Required: Fetal monitoring, ACLS, BLS, NRP
  • Shift Details: 13-week assignment, 7P-7:30A,

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
  • Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs
  • Assist with cesarean sections and other childbirth procedures
  • Educate patients on prenatal and postnatal care practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TX RN license
  • 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
  • Certification in Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS, NRP
  • Proficiency with Meditech or similar documentation systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Meditech documentation system
  • Advanced certifications related to obstetric care
