Job Summary
and overseeing all elements required to bring each project to full operation. The position develops and implements programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
The position will also work with the Chief Financial Officer and / or Chief Operating Officer to develop, prepare and present to the Board of Education the annual Capital Improvement Budget Request.
Attendance at Board meetings is required, as well as attendance at Metro Council and community meetings related to facility issues and capital projects as needed.
What you will do
Reviews and approves all invoices for capital improvement projects. Administers contracts between the Board of Public Education and the architects and general contractors to ensure that all work is carried out in the best interest and policies of the Public Schools.
Recommends proposals involving new or revised policies and procedures which will ensure a more effective and efficient operation of the design and construction department.
Coordinates with the Facility and Grounds Maintenance Department on issues relating to energy use and an energy conservation program.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, or equivalent experience as required for a State of Tennessee Architecture License Required
Experience Qualifications
10 years Related experience as a Licensed Architect, including experience at the management level Required
Skills and Abilities
Licenses and Certifications
Tennessee Professional Architecture License, or License from another state within 1 Year Required
Starting At : $112,735.07
Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications.
Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference.
All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
