Summary
The Senior Quantity Surveyor role will cover all aspects of commercial management/quantity surveying throughout the project lifecycle from initial inception/business case to completion/commissioning.
Responsibilities
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Monitor schedule for submission of deliverables and other contractual notices and certifications.
Monitor project budget and earn value in coordination with the Project Manager and Design Leads.
Assist with the identification of project financial issues and recovery options.
Prepare/distribute Commercial monthly reports as requested.
Collaborate with the Project Manager regarding overall monthly progress reporting.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, Economics, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
Competencies:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills (i.e., Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) and strong business administrative skills (i.e., presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.).

Pursuant to the New York State Public Officers Law & the MTA Code of Ethics, all employees who hold a policymaking position must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the “Commission”).
