Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, located in Akron, Ohio, is in need of a Registered Veterinary Technician for the Neurology service. This position is responsible for client communications, obtaining/recording and relaying patient information, making pharmacy calls, and giving clients medical advice and instructions. Additional responsibilities include administering and monitoring anesthesia during diagnostic procedures (MRI scans, spinal taps, EMGs) and neurosurgeries, placing IV catheters, collecting laboratory specimens, restraining for exams, and occasionally performing radiographs. Additional RVT skills and duties are performed as needed.

Candidates must be an RVT, registered in the state of Ohio with a proven ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates would have at least 1 year of anesthesia experience in a veterinary facility.

Schedule: Hours for this position are flexible, preferably 3-5 days/week, with optional weekend on-call stipend.
