Meyer Contracting Inc., is seeking qualified applicants for an Estimator/Project Manager-Piling/Foundations opening to join our team. Team Meyer is a Highway/Heavy contractor based out of Maple Grove, MN who performs Earthwork, Underground Utilities, Demolition, Concrete Structures and Foundations operations primarily in the greater Midwest area. With our purpose of developing exceptional people, we look forward to welcoming a talented Estimator/Project Manager-Piling/Foundations to our team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Obtain plans for bidding
  • Determine scope of work
  • Identify and contact potential sub-contractors
  • Accurately project the cost of the bid
  • Prepare the bid before submitting
  • Project Management including (but not limited to): subcontract administration, project scheduling, and budget management; while identifying how to meet and exceed project deadlines profitably

Job Qualifications:

  • 2 years minimum Project Management experience - 5 preferred
  • Understanding of Piling, Foundations
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret plans/blueprints – even when conflicting information exists
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detailed and organized
  • Able to cope with stress of day to day activities, while looking at the bigger picture
  • Ability to cultivate new client relationships, while maintaining current ones

Value Added Skills:

  • Experience in Construction software a plus: We use Bluebeam, Agtek, Civil 3D, HCSS (HeavyBid & HeavyJob), MS Project
