Software Engineer – Mechanical Modeling and Simulation OVERALL FUNCTION: Being part of our Software Department, this role is vital for delivering high-quality software that powers shows such as Ed Sheeran and Metallica, festivals like Roskilde and Montreux Jazz Festival, providing a smooth and reliable user experience to our customers at all stages from planning to execution.
As a Software Engineer specializing in mechanical modeling and simulation, you'll play a crucial role in developing advanced software solutions to simulate, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems. This is a full-time exempt position earning $113,000 - $186,000/annually.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and develop software applications and libraries for mechanical modeling and simulation, leveraging state-of-the-art algorithms and techniques.
Implement numerical methods and mathematical models to simulate mechanical behavior
Write clean, maintainable, and future-proof code, with unit tests
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and domain experts to understand modeling requirements, translating them into scalable and efficient software solutions
Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review and Retrospective)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role
Proficiency in Matlab, Python and/or C/C
Proficiency in at least one 3D CAD modeling software
Strong understanding of numerical methods, mathematical modeling, and algorithms relevant to mechanical modeling and simulation
Understanding of Git and setting up CI/CD pipelines
REFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with parallel computing, high-performance computing (HPC), and distributed systems.
Knowledge of machine learning techniques applied to mechanical modeling and simulation
