Job Overview:

The Weatherization ESA Specialist is an entry-level position. Requires minimum 1 year of experience installing energy-saving measures for the Energy Saving Assistance Program (ESAP) (Southern California Gas Company, Southern California Edison, Southwest Gas, and Bear Valley Electric).

The Position:

We’re looking for a Weatherization ESA Specialist. Our pay range is $19.00-$23.00 per hour Plus PRODUCTION BONUS.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Must have one year of experience working for Energy Conservation programs or similar trades.
• Complete certification training or any other required training
• Install energy-saving measures for the company’s home improvement and weatherization programs.
• Conduct structural in-home energy-saving measures installments at customer’s homes, apartments, and mobile homes.
• I have knowledge of installing window evaporative coolers, window room AC, interior/exterior fixtures, home appliances, and Smart T-stat.
• Report to schedule appointments on time and prepared
• Maintain accurate customer records, files, forms, and work orders.
• Stay updated on program requirements and standards.
• Maintain a positive relationship with customers, staff, and utility company representatives.
• Participate in the routine meetings, workshops, and training as directed by the Supervisor.
• Responsible for the excellent image of the company while on company time
• Responsible for performing other duties/tasks assigned by the Supervisor
• Prepare job sites implementing weatherization-safe work practices.
• Clean up job sites using proper disposal methods.
• Provide hands-on training to Weatherization apprentices/installers at work sites.
• Install Attic Insulation
• Install weather-stripping and sealing measures.
• Perform glass/window repair and replacement.
• Apply glaze, caulk, and silicone.
• Install Smoke/carbon monoxide alarms.
• Install water-saving devices.
• Install energy-efficient appliances.
• Other related program duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must have an active California Driver’s License
• Clean Driving Record
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift over 70lb
• Must be able to wear all PPE and safety devices assigned per project
• Must have strong communication skills
• Must have basic computer skills
• Solid math skills
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
• Must pass a 7-year criminal background check
• Must pass a drug test
