THE JOB:

Are you a Labor Relations expert who is seeking an opportunity that offers a unique blend of strategic influence, problem-solving, continuous learning, and interpersonal interactions?

We're looking for a Labor Relations Partner who will manage contracts (collective bargaining agreements “CBA”) and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. This role is your chance to be a strategic partner who develops and maintains relationships between employees, unions, and management. Your expertise and guidance will add to the contribution of solidifying MGM Resorts as a premier employer in the entertainment and hospitality industry.

This is an on-site position based in Yonkers, NY area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the primary liaison between departments, management, and union representatives.
• Manage and resolve labor disputes and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct labor relations training for managers and supervisors.
• Collaborate with HR and legal teams to develop and implement labor relations strategies.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee contract interpretations and be able to communicate that information back the departments and management to resolve any disputes and handle grievances to satisfy all parties involved.
• Provide guidance and support to departments on labor relations matters, including contract interpretation and implementation.
• Maintain accurate records of labor relations activities and agreements.
• Analyze labor trends and provide recommendations to improve labor relations practices.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• At least 3 years of labor relations or direct labor management experience.
• Previous working experience with contract interpretations and implementations.
• Prior experience preparing and handling grievances.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with union representatives, department managers and their employees.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Pay: $87,000.00 - $130,500.00 per year
