THE JOB:
As a status board operator for our housekeeping department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and updating the hotel's status board. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously will ensure the seamless operation of our front desk and guest services.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Coordinate by phone or computer with the Front Desk and VIP Services team to manage guest check-ins, check-outs, and special requests.
• Communicate with housekeeping, maintenance and other departments to ensure timely updates on room status.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
• Receive and process requests from guests for turndown services, extra towels, etc., and forwards the request to the proper employee in the specific area.
• Monitor and report any discrepancies or issues with room statuses to the appropriate departments.
• Ensure accurate data entry as needed for the department for day and swing shifts.

THE IDEAL CANDID ATE:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Prior status board operator experience.
• Able to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual in Spanish or other languages.
• Prior experience working in a similar resort setting.
• Takes pride in their work.
• Describes themselves as detail oriented.
• Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression.
• Can handle multiple tasks at one time.
