MGR Workforce is Hiring a Landscaping laborer Near Glendale, AZ

A Landscaping Laborer is responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding a business, building, or other facilities.

This includes the planting of flowers, mowing, trimming, watering, and fertilizing plants, shrubs, and trees. The role may also involve the installation of outdoor features like walkways, patios, and retaining walls.

Location : Glendale, AZ

Hours : 6AM to 3PM

Salary : $18 Per Hour

Key Responsibilities :

  • Planting and Cultivation :
  • Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees, and grass.
  • Apply mulch and other materials to flower beds and landscaping areas.
  • Maintenance :
  • Mow, edge, and trim lawns, walkways, and other landscaped areas.
  • Prune shrubs, trees, and hedges to improve health and appearance.
  • Weed and remove unwanted plant growth.
  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed.
  • Irrigation and Watering :
  • Install and maintain irrigation systems.
  • Water plants and lawns, ensuring proper hydration.
  • Landscape Installation :
  • Assist in the installation of hardscapes like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and water features.
  • Lay sod, install edging, and spread soil and gravel.
  • General Duties :
  • Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
  • Collect and dispose of litter and debris from work areas.
  • Assist with snow removal and salting during the winter months.
  • Safety and Compliance :
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with local and state regulations related to landscaping and pesticide application.
  • Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Experience :
  • Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with landscaping tools and machinery.
  • Skills :
  • Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for outdoor work.
  • Basic knowledge of horticulture and plant care.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Certifications :
  • Pesticide application certification (optional, depending on job requirements).
  • Valid driver’s license may be required.

Physical Requirements :

  • Stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to bend, kneel, and perform other physical tasks associated with landscaping.
