MGX Beverage Group is Hiring a Warehouse Supervisor Near Edison, NJ

Job Summary:

Provides operational leadership to hourly warehouse workers to ensure efficient and orderly execution of daily and weekly tasks associated with meeting or exceeding company key performance metrics and customer expectations/objectives. Builds and maintains strong, effective relationships with transportation, customer service, and financial /general administrative operations. Orients work to meet company service and cost objectives.


Essential Functions:

Communication

  • Communicate work priorities and progress between day, night and weekend shifts.
  • Communicate SOPs and daily, weekly and monthly work priorities to the warehouse staff.
  • Communicate issues or blockages to workflow to Transportation and Customer Service.

People and Training

  • Train new shift staff.
  • Create and maintain staff productivity standards and hold associates accountable to those standards.
  • Measure associate’s quality of work.
  • Provide continuous training on warehouse SOP and equipment for staff.

Safety

  • Make sure all safety SOPs are followed.
  • Provide monthly safety training including a sign off program.

Fulfillment

  • Picking - Assign orders to workers according to schedule.
  • Monitor proper labeling, staging, materials used to ship orders, (security tape, and plastic pallets).
  • Handle issues during selection, (replenishing items below threshold, reallocating orders to allocate items ignored, and pallet labels for staging not processed during picking to drop areas).
  • Replenishing - Prioritizing replenishments needed for the completion of orders.
  • Problem shoots replenishment errors due to inventory status blocking pallets to be moved to pick locations.

Loading – Loading and Shipping

  • Assign and supervise the loading of orders according to logistics schedule.
  • Making sure orders status are complete for loading.
  • Making sure that load sheets are filled out, trailers are being locked, loads are completely scanned into trailers before shipped off, and paperwork is completed and correctly annotated.
  • Ensure proper paperwork is given to outbound drivers or left in their trailers.
  • Loading of Trucks and/or Rail cars.

Receiving

  • Monitor that all receiving’s are completed properly.
  • All pallets are properly labelled and put away in full in 24 hours.
  • All damages are reported annotated and reported at the end of each shift.
  • All safety processes and procedures are being followed, (locking out trailers being unloaded, damages are being reported.
  • Unloading of Trucks and/or Rail cars.

Cleaning of Facility

  • Supervise and distribute cleaning assignments as needed to keep the work areas clean and tidy.
  • Empty trash barrels, remove empty wood pallets, and sweep up aisle.

Inventory Control

  • Partner with inventory control team to reach an annual dollar inventory accuracy rate of 99.9875%.
  • Continuously improve the understanding of root causes of inventory variances and use this understanding to effect positive change with the operations team.

Secondary Responsibilities:

WMS Usage

  • Acquire knowledge of WMS to the point of being an SME (Subject Matter Expert)

Continuous Improvement

  • Continuously Improve your knowledge of warehouse best practice

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment as a supervisor or team leader.
  • Bilingual required.
  • Required experience in a warehouse with all and processes around receipt, put away, replenishment, picking, loading, and cycle counting for inventory control.
  • Material handling experience, including forklifts, slip sheets, reach trucks, & stock pickers.
  • Experience using RF guns and the ability to use a WMS. Computer proficiency a must.
  • Must display strong leadership abilities, have strong ethics, possess strong judgment to reconcile issues, meet deadlines, and communicate internally and externally.
  • Rail Experience preferred.
