Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience, with a strong understanding of financial processes and procedures. Experience with Sage 100 is highly desirable. The AP/AR Clerk will be responsible for managing invoices, processing payments, maintaining financial records, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable:
o Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
o Prepare and execute payments via check, ACH, or other payment methods.
o Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
o Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
Accounts Receivable:
o Generate and send out invoices to clients in a timely manner.
o Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collections.
o Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
o Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.
General Duties:
o Utilize Sage 100 for processing and tracking financial transactions.
o Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
o Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
o Prepare financial reports and summaries as required.
o Maintain confidentiality of all financial information.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Experience:
o Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles.
o Experience with Sage 100 accounting software is a strong advantage.
Skills:
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
o Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
o Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
o Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
