Overview:

Heavy Civil Construction Company specializing in Bridge Construction, Roadway Rehabilitation, and Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants, is seeking a dynamic Waterworks Superintendent for an onsite position in Sacramento, CA. As the Waterworks Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of water treatment plant construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.

Responsibilities:

· Responsibility, including as superintendent, in managing various aspects of water treatment plant (WTP) and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) projects.

· Lead repairs, retrofitting, and construction of new portions within existing WTP/WWTP facilities, including pump stations, blowers, holding ponds, clarifiers, basins, chemical storage systems, conveyance systems, filters, and bypass systems.

· Manage multiple crews with different competencies such as concrete, mechanical, underground, and subcontractors.

· Develop and maintain strong client relationships, liaise with union representatives, and communicate effectively with project management teams regarding budgets, costs, and production quantities.

· Utilize Microsoft Office suite, BlueBeam or Adobe, and timecard management software for efficient project coordination and reporting.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

· Exhibit strong organizational skills, professionalism, and a proactive approach to project management.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

· Extensive experience in waterworks construction, specifically WTP/WWTP projects.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), BlueBeam or Adobe, and timecard management software.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

· Proven track record of successfully managing repairs, retrofitting, and new construction within water treatment facilities.

· Ability to work onsite in the East Bay area, Monday to Friday, with occasional travel as needed.
