JOB SUMMARY
The selected Operations Manager will coordinate between multiple ongoing projects to ensure completion to company standards. They will be expected to work in-office on administrative documentation as well as in the field to oversee operations as needed (this would include shipyards, ships, and US Naval bases) with the overall objective of creating and maintaining project standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee daily operations for all functional areas of the program.
· Plan, organize, lead, and carry out larger or more complex projects while creating a standard for future related endeavors.
· Support business strategies by ensuring projects are delivered on time, on scope, and in budget.
· Develop, review, and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation, and project briefs/presentations.
· Assign schedules, review work performances, and supervise personnel.
· Meet with government representatives and ships’ forces to create and review plans and deliverable items.
· Work with Program Manager to prioritize operational activities.
· Support Program Manager with contract negotiations and modifications.
· Anticipate issues; monitor the resolutions and impacts of changes on project completion and track these details as part of a “Lessons Learned” document.
· Continuously evaluate project and department needs and address appropriately.
· Define and monitor project status and metric reports.
· Review and update Standard Operating Procedures.
· Create and maintain an OSHA/safety standards program.
REQUIREMENTS
· Hold or be able to acquire a government clearance (DoD Secret)
· Hold or be able to acquire a US Passport
· 5 years’ experience in Operations or Program Management.
· 5 years’ experience supervising junior personnel.
· Deep analytical skills and have superior verbal and listening skills.
· Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
· Basic understanding of network engineering.
· Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a focus on interdepartmental collaboration.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
PREFERRED
· Military experience
· PMP, SCRUM (CSM), CPIM, COM, or CAPM certifications
· Undergraduate or graduate certification in Operations or Program Management
