Job Description
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including managing the general ledger and ensuring timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures to maintain robust internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful and timely audits.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and development as needed.
- Participate in the implementation of new accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the health and wellness industry is a plus.
