Job DescriptionRecruitment:
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract skilled candidates for various roles within the construction industry.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
  • Conduct interviews, screen candidates, and make hiring recommendations based on qualifications and fit.
  • Utilize recruitment platforms, job boards, social media, and other channels to source candidates.
Performance Management:
  • Implement performance management systems to track employee performance, provide feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and administer performance appraisal processes to ensure fair and objective evaluations.
  • Coach managers on performance management best practices, including goal setting and performance reviews.
  • Address performance issues promptly and fairly, following company policies and procedures.
Employee Engagement:
  • Develop and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive work culture.
  • Plan and organize employee events, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
  • Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to gauge employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to address employee concerns and promote open communication.
HR Administration:
  • Oversee HR administrative tasks, including employee onboarding, offboarding, and record-keeping.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including safety standards in the construction industry.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs.
  • Handle employee relations issues and mediate conflicts when necessary.
Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Coordinate with external training providers or develop in-house training resources as needed.
  • Track training completion and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Experience working in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, especially in the context of the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
