Job Description
- Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required resources.
- Collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and other team members to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data and verify project requirements.
- Research and source pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare and maintain a database of historical cost data and project records.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and client presentations as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and tender submissions.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role is a plus.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with estimating software and tools is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
