Job Description
- Prepare budget estimates, detailed and accurate bid estimates and bid packages, potentially on short turnaround time for projects ranging from $500k to $15MM - ground up construction and renovations/additions.
- Solicit and evaluate scope completeness of proposals from multiple trade subcontractors, and effectively communicate and negotiate with subcontractors.
- Identify and track changes to drawings through addendums, bulletins, and revisions, including follow through with subcontractors.
- Work with the client from the start of each project to ensure you understand the project scope and vision
- Oversee the beginning of each turn-key project, including details like permit submission and design evaluations
- Create the schedule for each project and match talent to the job
- Process change orders
- Collaborate with the architect and construction crew to ensure feasibility of each project
- Conduct meetings on-site with architect, client and construction crew
- Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare and submit project estimates to clients
- 5 years of construction experience with significant self-perform concrete experience
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related area of study
- Proficient in project management and esitmating software
- Well versed with ACI (American Concrete Institute) and PTI (Post-Tension Institute)
- Multistory concrete frame experience preferred
- Solid understanding of concrete mix designs
- Strong Personal Drive to take on several challenges
