Job DescriptionSenior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general ledger activities and ensure proper recording of transactions.
- Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Supervise and manage the AP and AR functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Review and approve transactions and reconciliations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile AP and AR balances.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline accounting operations.
- Manage, train, and mentor a Staff Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience in an accounting role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (QuickBooks, MS Excel)
- Quantum ERP experience a plus
