Job DescriptionWithin this position, the responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:
- Preparation of various expense and balance sheet journal entries and account reconciliations
- Preparation of balance sheet and profit & loss statements, including enhancements to profit & loss statements, as the company grows/changes
- Analyzes month over month expense variances
- Prepare detailed close packages containing financial statement schedules and analysis
- Responsible for detailed monthly freight analysis.
- Build dashboards containing KPI's to monitor the company's performance
- Assist team with account reconciliations, and general accounting questions
- Support controller on implementation of accounting procedures and policies
- Assist in preparation and implementation of internal controls, including meeting with internal and external auditors to discuss deficiencies and opportunities for improvement
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Masters or CPA is highly preferred but not essential
- Public accounting experience highly preferred but not essential
- 3 years of accounting/public accounting experience
- Excellent excel skills & communication skills
- Manufacturing or distribution industry experience
- An excellent base salary of between $80,000- $100,000
- Annual bonus potential of up to 15%
- 3 weeks PTO, increasing to 4 weeks
