About Our ClientUnique opportunity for someone with a Finance or Accounting background to join a market leading, global, $2bn CPG manufacturer as a Senior Financial Analyst. Due to the vast scope of the role, our client is very open to someone coming from a month-end, cost, inventory OR public accounting background that has the desire to further their career within a Senior Financial Analyst position. With operations in over 20 countries and some of the most recognizable products on the market the company is well diversified and poised for steady expansion over the next 5 years. Working in their global finance team located in Vernon Hills, IL on a hybrid model, there will be ample opportunities for this person to take on a wide variety of tasks and projects including significant internal career development into more senior positions. Job DescriptionWithin this Senior Financial Analyst position, responsibilities include:
Providing regional, global, and functional leaders with key operating statistics and variance analysis for budgets, forecasts, and key ratios.
Play role of business partner for functional leaders.
Generate monthly forecast and business review decks with qualitative comments and insights on driver of performance of specific global functions, highlighting key takeaways.
Provide weekly and monthly reports related to order booking, shipments, backlog, margin, and operating expenses.
Provide financial support of financial and statistical requirements associated with the company's monthly accounting and forecasting related to specific global functions.
Support annual planning summarizing assumptions and financial metric.
Strengthening business analytics through utilizing BI and creating specific reports.
Assist in the continuous improvement, development, modification, and implementation of financial systems as necessary. This includes learning and using DBS tools.
Provide backup on P&L and working capital responsibility reporting.
Assist in month-end reporting and forecasting requirements as required.

Bachelors degree in Accounting OR Finance
MBA/Masters degree would be highly preferred but it not essential
2 years of financial analysis experience/accounting/public accounting experience
Manufacturing/distribution industry experience would be highly advantageous
Experience with COGS or Inventory is highly advantageous
Strong analytical and communication skills
Excellent excel and system capabilities
