Job DescriptionCommercial Construction Senior Project Engineer (SE Michigan) Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Manager in all phases of construction
- Writes RFI's, submits for approval and distributes accordingly.
- Reviews and understands the subcontract documents as they apply to assigned areas of responsibility.
- Notifies management of significant project events such as project successes, issues, injuries, client relations, potential losses/claims
- Work with owner/client to provide updates, obtain approvals and complete change orders for scope of work revisions
- Assists with documenting changes; maintains project records, red line transfers and correspondence.
- Ensure all work is done in compliance with OSHA
- Monitor project costs to stay within budget
The Successful ApplicantA successful applicant for Commercial Construction Senior Project Engineer (SE Michigan) includes:
- 1 year of commercial construction experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Ability to lead meetings
- Resourcefullness and ability to track down information quickly and accurately
- Maintains high level of professionalism at all levels
- Cost management skills
- Excellent Written/Oral communication and presentation skills
- Commitment to detail and strong sense of urgency
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Must be well organized and possess problem solving skills
- Positive attitude and a good sense of humor
- Negotiation experience and skills
- Ability to work in a high energy, fast paced team environment
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Competitive base salary with quarterly reviews ($80,000 - $95,000)
