Michigan Health Specialists is Hiring a Medical Office Receptionist Near Flint, MI

You are the patient experience and our frontline to customer service. You are accountable to making sure patients have a smooth experience while in the office and on the phone. You want to provide great service to everyone because you genuinely care about helping. You are flexible, having the ability to adapt to a busy office environment. One of your main values is communication, taking ownership of talking to the people you need to so schedules are full and patients are happy. Most importantly, you embody an upbeat, positive mindset - contributing to the growth of our corporate culture.

Your mantra is, “No patient left behind, everyone deserves exceptional service!”

Every day you should make sure you:

Have verified every scheduled visit will translate into a billable encounter

Have confirmed all of the visits scheduled for that day via Google Voice

Collect co-pays

Schedule every patient for their next visit

Answer phones, and return voicemails within 1 business day

Your success is being measured by:

Employee Productivity Scorecards in Epic

Completed Visits Where Patients Weren’t Eligible for Services

Epic Waiting/Rooming Time Reports

Co-Pay Collection and Revisit Reports

Assessing Performance

The five primary areas for performance evaluation will include:

  • Ability to proactively engage with patients in the waiting room to increase knowledge of why they are waiting, improve patient satisfaction, and drive The MHS Experience
  • Effectiveness and efficiency in completing insurance verifications and collections of co-pays
  • Accuracy of cash box at the end of the day
  • Adherence to HIPAA best practices, policies, and procedures
  • Positive contributions to the MHS culture and ability to exhibit The MHS Experience
