Exciting Long-Term Full-Time Nanny Opportunity!

Position Overview: Michigan Nanny Solutions is thrilled to present a wonderful opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Full-Time Nanny to join a warm and active family in Saugatuck. This position offers 36 guaranteed hours per week, from Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, starting by Monday, July 29th, 2024 (with flexibility to start sooner or later). Your Responsibilities:

• Daily Care: Provide loving, attentive care to the baby girl, focusing on her emotional, social, and educational needs as she grows from an infant to a toddler and beyond.
• Engaging Activities: Plan and engage in activities that promote motor skills, sensory experiences, and a love for learning. You’ll be able to utilize a weekly theme-based curriculum provided by Michigan Nanny Solutions to make teaching-through-play fun and easy!
• Outdoor Fun: Prioritize daily outdoor walks and playtime, including taking the family’s friendly dog along for short stroller walks when the weather permits.
• Healthy Living: Support the family's plant-based whole foods diet by preparing healthy snacks and meals and introducing the baby to a variety of foods as she grows. You’ll also be welcomed to share your own love for cooking with the family!
• Light Child-Related Housekeeping: Handle child-related tasks such as baby’s laundry, sanitizing bottles, toys, and baby equipment, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and organized environment. Someone who is naturally driven toward tidiness, cleanliness, and organization will find a kindred soul in the mother and will thrive in this home!
• Travel: Be willing to accompany the family on occasional vacations and family trips, making travel fun and stress-free for the baby (and her parents!)

Who We're Looking For:

• Experience: You have at least three years of Professional Childcare Experience working with children ages 0-5, with at least one year of Professional Nanny Experience, from age 18 forward. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked as a nanny with the same family for several years.
• Skills: You are an engaging, creative, and attentive caregiver who loves to teach the children they care for through play and exploration. You have experience teaching and using ASL with children. You are skilled at maintaining open, honest, and ongoing communication with parents on all aspects of the child and the position. You have experience preparing snacks and meals following a plant-based, whole foods diet, and will be able to help parents with baby girl’s transition to solid foods in the coming months!
• Personality: You are a warm, friendly, “glass half full” person who takes personal and professional joy in making a life-long positive impact on the children you care for as their friend, playmate, teacher, and role model. You are a loving, maternal caregiver who loves the children in your care like your own, and are dedicated to their health, safety, and long-term development. As a valuable resource of childcare and child development knowledge, you’ll be able to help first-time parents navigate each new stage as it comes and can help them anticipate and plan ahead for upcoming developmental stages, big milestones, and all the fun (and sometimes scary!) firsts, from first big belly laughs and first teeth to first foods and first booboos!
• Professionalism: You have a work history of making long-term commitments to past positions and have professional references who rave about the positive influence you’ve had on their children and their families. You pride yourself on your strong work ethic, trustworthiness, and responsibility, and have honed your ability to anticipate and meet (if not exceed!) the needs of the families you work for. You are comfortable working alongside work-from-home parents, helping to maintain a respectful and cooperative work environment for all.

Additional Requirements:

• At least 21-years-old and legal to work in the USA
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Safe and reliable transportation and ability to transport children in your vehicle (mileage reimbursement will be paid)
• Current Infant/Toddler CPR/First Aid certification (or must complete class within 90 days of hire)
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test before starting the position
• Up-to-date vaccinations (COVID, flu shot and DTap—These are non-negotiable)
